The Agency for Qualifications and the project "Knowledge to Employment" organized a workshop on October 8, 2026, in Novi Sad titled "Ecosystem of Career Guidance and Counseling – Ethical Principles and Sustainability of CVSS Services." This is the third in a series of events dedicated to Ethical Principles for career practitioners and their application in practice.
The workshop brought together professionals from the fields of career guidance and counseling from the youth work, employment, and social protection sectors. Through the exchange of experiences and interactive work, participants discussed ethical challenges, individualized support for users, service organization, and the development of competencies for career practitioners.
The Deputy Director of the Agency for Qualifications, Ivana Čvorović Plavšić, moderated two workshop sessions, during which participants connected experiences from different sectors and discussed opportunities for improving the quality and sustainability of career support.
One of the key conclusions was that there is a lack of integrated services that would connect the support available to individuals across different sectors. The needs of users often exceed the scope of a single organization, which is why collaboration, clear referral mechanisms, and continuity of support are particularly important.
The discussion highlighted that the development of practitioners' competencies should be accompanied by the establishment of systemic solutions that connect the youth work, employment, and social protection sectors. Such an approach contributes to the sustainability of services and enables more accessible and comprehensive support for young people, job seekers, and users in the most vulnerable life circumstances.
The experiences and recommendations from the workshop represent a significant contribution to further work on the application of Ethical Principles and the improvement of the career guidance and counseling system.
